To All Federal Flight Deck Officers (FFDOs):
We honor FFDO Captain Jonathan Jay Campos (05/13/1990 – 01/29/2025) for his dedicated, selfless service to our nation, his passengers and his crew. FFDO Campos died while in mission status in the performance of his duties, protecting our nation’s capital and ensuring the sanctity of our nation’s skies.
FFDO Campos embodied what is best in our national character. He was a dedicated FFDO who flew hundreds of volunteer missions, sacrificing time, money and resources to provide the last line of defense for the flying public. He took on this responsibility without any expectation of accolades or recognition. He was a quiet professional who served us all honorably.
We call on our parent agency, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), to bestow FFDO Campos, as the first active FFDO who has fallen in the line of duty, and his family ALL benefits, services and acknowledgments in the same manner as any other TSA active employee or law enforcement officer who tragically passes in the execution of their assigned duties.
CALL TO ATTENTION ALL FFDOs:
“Attention FFDO Jonathan Jay Campos”
“No answer FFDO Jonathan Jay Campos”
“FFDO Jonathan Jay Campos out of service. Gone but not forgotten”
FFDO JOHNATHAN JAY CAMPOS
